Some of our friends are real characters. My teenage boys can sometimes be real characters. But it is not for moronic behavior that bible uses the word “character” but for being mature. So we read, “tribulation brings perseverance, and perseverance proven character.” If we deliberately rely on the power of the Word of God, and presence of the Spirit of God, we and can mature, even the core of our character.
